This Week-Tuesday 22 February at Cobb and Co.
Club Night
Incoming President
We still need one - time is running out!!
Last Week
Margaret Fitzgerald talked on the bowel screening programme. The South Island has a very high rate of bowel cancer. Generally the public does not think or talk about bowel function (poos)until things get bad.  Everyday in NZ 9 people find out they have bowel cancer and 3 of those will die. The goal of the Gut Foundation is to Review Your Poo. There is one important thing you need to know and watch for in bowel movements ..CHANGE. To understand CHANGE you need to know your NORMAL.  The Foundation has a campaign going to get people to chart their normal bowel movements.  A guide/ chart is available to keep track of frequency, texture and colour… photos with descriptions are on the guide/chart.
If Rotary wants to help, they can set up a post somewhere and give out the guides (supplied by the Foundation).
